Trust Your Wings, Not the Branch
After the last few posts, you now have where you want to go clearly in mind.
You have identified the fear that is getting in your way.
And we have discussed how courage relates to fear.
Now what?
Now we tie it together and you get to move forward.
There is a lovely quote I want to share with you. It says:
“A bird doesn't land on a branch because it trust the branch,
It lands on the branch because it trusts its wings.”
I want that sort of self trust for you.
The self trust that allows you to take on anything you want, not because you trust the outcome, but because you trust that you have the ability to handle it.
How do you build that sort of self trust?
How do you go from believing nothing will hold your weight, to trusting you can hold your own if the branch were to break?
By taking small steps into what you fear.
A bird doesn’t trust its wings on day one.
Rather, it knows it has the apparatus to fly so it starts to flex and strengthen its wings, little by little, until one day it takes flight.
Now it can confidently land on anything it wants because it knows it can handle anything that could come next.
I want you to have that sort of self trust too.
You have the in-built ability to succeed.
I want you to realise that ability.
I want you to flex and strengthen it until one day you will have the self trust you need to take flight.
I want you to have the trust in your wings that allows you to land on any branch you want, knowing you are adaptable and can handle any fear that may come your way.
I believe the ability to trust your wings and stop fearing the branch is in your future.
Do you?
Steph
